Welcome to

Michigan Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi

A Letter From The President - "Pi Phi is founded on the values of Integrity, Lifelong Commitment, Honor and Respect, Personal and Intellectual Growth, Philanthropic Service to Others, and Sincere Friendship. As a member and leader in the organization, I am fortunate enough to see these values shine every day, through all of our members, and I want to share a glimpse into our sisterhood with you. I see Personal and Intellectual Growth every time I walk into 836 Tappan and see different groups of women helping each other study for upcoming exams, whether they are taking the class together or have already gotten that A and want to help a sister currently in that class. I witness Sincere Friendship through big-little relationships, where bonds are formed despite age and celebrated in the spirit of fun and belonging. Meeting my “big sister” on bid day is one of the moments I cherish the most and something that made me even more excited to say yes to this sisterhood. Meeting my “little sister” on her bid day made the entire experience feel even more full circle, and I am grateful to have her in my life. One of my favorite values is Philanthropic Service to Others, which is displayed through our philanthropy initiative, Read > Lead > Achieve. This program offers members the opportunity to volunteer at local elementary schools, reading to students. The students light up seeing our members return week after week. The impact is tangible. Honor and Respect can be seen in each member of our Pi Beta Phi Executive Board, women who dedicate their time and energy to creating events, resources, merchandise, and support for all chapter members. I wouldn’t want to be in this position without their support. I see Integrity reflected in the way Pi Phi women speak to each other with empathy, positivity, and an uplifting spirit. After a long day, I know that I can call any of my sisters to help me feel better and put me in a better mood. Finally, Lifelong Commitment is apparent in every graduated member, from those just joining the workforce and helping collegiate women with job search advice, to our advisors who always have our best interests at heart. Finding a home in Pi Beta Phi, Michigan Beta, is a highlight of my college career, and I wouldn’t trade these friendships, memories, or personal growth for anything!" - Pi Phi Love and Mine, Jolie Oleshansky, Chapter President, Pi Beta Phi, Michigan Beta
